As you may have guessed, Glossop Decking is dedicated to providing superior customer service that is second to none. To acheive this we have included a comprehensive warranty package.
We want you to enjoy your decking for many happy years, so to ensure this all decking boards come with a 20 year warranty which covers against rotting and deterioration of the boards resulting from fungal decay and insect attack. Please note that labour costs are not covered under this warranty as it is upheld by the manufacturer.
We are confident that your project will be installed to the highest of standards so all workmanship is guaranteed for as long as you live in your house upto a maximum of 20 years. This warranty is non transferable and will remain valid subject to no third party interference.
In order for the warranty to remain valid, a simple, low cost maintenance programme must be followed. The surface of the deck should be re-treated totally with a water repellent preservative, such as Ronseal decking protector every year from the date of installation. This should cost approximately £35.00 and an afternoon of your time for a medium sized area (approximately 20 Sq/M) or if you prefere we can treat the area for you. This is to ensure that the water repellant seal is not worn away on any areas where there is significant foot traffic. In addition to this, the deck boards should be brushed with a stiff brush on a regular basis to remove any leaves or garden rubbish and dirt. In reality it is advisable to clean the decking with a pressure washer at the start of spring and autumn and also brush the deck boards every couple of weeks to prevent the boards from becoming slippery when wet.
Please note, if you re-treat the surface yourself you will need to retain proof of purchase for the materials used and inform Glossop Decking via e-mail glossopdecking@live.co.uk at the time of treatment in order for the warranty to remain valid. Also if you decide to treat the decking yourself then please contact us for advice on the correct proceedure.
The warranty does not cover changes in colour over time, expansion and contraction of timber, fire, flood, vandalism, accidental damage, subsidence, damage caused by use other than ordinary domestic use and acts of god, any claims for consequential loss will not be accepted.
