All garden size's are catered for whether it be a small, ground level area suitable for patio furniture through to a larger, elevated deck. From the moment you pick up the telephone through to enjoying a late summer's evening sat on your new decking you can be assured your in safe hands.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT? Glossop Decking use only the correct materials for your project. All deck boards used are high pressure treated with Tanalith E preservative and impregnated with Pro-Wax to provide a clean, bright and long life product. All basework is constructed from either 5" x 2" or 6" x 2" joist depending on which size is appropriate for the project. Substantial 4" posts are either concreted into the ground or bolted onto existing hardstanding to provide maximum stability. We never lay the framework onto concrete pads. Foundations are dug out a minimum of 12" which is usually sufficient to reach clay on newer houses. All joist are spaced evenly apart at a distance of 400mm - 500mm centres to prevent drooping and bouncing of the decking boards and to ensure maximum strength. To aid drainage, where appropriate a very gentle fall will be built into the project falling away from your property. All fixing's used are either stainless steel, coated high grade steel or salt spray tested steel for corrosion resistance and extended life. All deck boards will be screwed down and not nailed. We always cover the ground under the decked area with a suitable membrane to prevent weed growth. The deck boards used are covered by a 20 year warranty, subject to a simple, low cost maintenance programme.		WHY CHOOSE GLOSSOP DECKING? The price qouted is the price you pay, there are no hidden charges to worry about. A payment will be required prior to starting which is to cover the cost of materials, approximately 75% of the final price. The remaining balance will be settled ONLY when you are happy with your newly completed project. When appointments are made we will not waste your time by letting you down. Your project will commence on the date agreed, subject to weather conditions. A time scale will be agreed and adhered to so to minimise disruption. On completion we will leave the work area as clean and tidy as we found it. A comprehensive warranty package and aftercare service is included with all projects. All timber used is supplied by manufacturers whom are members of the timber decking association and is covered by the Deck Mark quality accreditation. We recognise the importance of non-contribution to global forest destruction which is why, where available the timber used is from a well managed sustainable forest.
